Battle Vs Chess brings familiar chess pieces to life, taking this classic into the 21st century, while keeping the core gameplay. The customary white and black armies now take the form of knights in shining armour, wicked demons and beastly golems. Each piece is artfully brought to life, ready for battle, as players move them around the board. Move to a square occupied by your enemy and the characters will enter into a bloody combat, in order to remove your opponent from the board. In order to win the game you’ll be given a series of campaigns, within which you’ll need to complete different challenges and mini-games.

The challenges introduce randomly selected chess pieces in different strategic positions around the board. The mini-games require you to complete a game within a certain number of moves. With the addition of Action Mode, players can choose to challenge their enemies to an arena-style battle, involving a variety of weapons, fighting techniques and combos. The gameboard has a choice of six environments, each with a unique appearance and features, while the introduction of 3D graphics breathe new life and the concept of ‘cool’ into the timeless game of chess.
