BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger isn't just another lackluster entry in the 2D fighting genre, as it has both an excellent online mode and, more surprisingly, a plot which is well-conceived – a rarity no matter which country you're in (this is a Japanese fighter, by the way).

This home console version of the game also comes with considerably more content than its arcade counterpart. Not only can you switch between Japanese and English voices and enjoy new music and animations, but there also some brand new "instant kill" moves unlockable for every character.
