Guitar Hero: Metallica is the second game in the Guitar Hero series to focus on the career and songs of one group following Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. As it’s based on Guitar Hero: World Tour, both the individual guitar and full band kits are supported – which means you can take on the role of your favourite band member.
28 Metallica songs are featured along with 21 from other groups that are personal favourites and influences from over the years, including those that appeared on their Garage Inc. album. Please note that other downloadable content is unusable, although the "Death Magnetic" pack will work.
Amazon are currently running an offer where you get a guitar included with the game, but it’s not the same as the official one which comes with a specially designed guitar (scroll down to the "Product Promotions area for more information).
Click here to get the PlayStation 2 version of Guitar Hero: Metallica, with a free guitar, for £24.99. The same retailer also has the same deal for both the PS3 (click here) and XBox 360 (click here) releases – although these are a bit higher at £37.96.
Although it would help if you’re a fan of the band, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith contains enough decent songs to play along with that this isn’t something that is entirely necessary. Anyway, who can help but love such classics as "Walk This Way" and "Train Kept A-Rollin"?
It’s interesting to see that many other groups have shown interest in getting involved with instrument video games – Guitar Hero: Metallica is due out soon, Rock Band: The Beatles will probably appear in 2010 and Van Halen have been rumored to be lined up for a game of their own.

Buzz!: The Mega Quiz is the fourth entry in the Buzz! series, and comes with a further 5,000 questions for you to answer. Interestingly, Europe was used as a testing ground to see how popular these kind of titles would be – with this being the first to be released in North America.
If you’ve yet to try any of these games, they are a little bit like Trivial Pursuit (minus the coloured triangle nonsense) created specifically with multiplayer gaming in mind. It should be noted, however, that you need the buzzers to be able to play this in the first place.

After a long wait, made even longer by the fact that it’s initial release was delayed due to the BBFC banning the first version submitted to them, Manhunt 2 was unleashed on the 31st of October 2008 – although it’s probably not quite as shocking as the hype would have you believe.
Similar to the first game, you can perform "executions" in three deadly shades – Hasty (white), Violent (yellow) and Gruesome (red) – but with all of the gore and general nastiness censored. This doesn’t take too much away from the game, as the story is considered by some to be better than the one in Manhunt.
The Hut are selling the Wii release for £4.73 – click here for more details. They also have the PlayStation 2 (click here) version available for over double the price at £9.73.
Based on the 2008 film of the same name, Iron Man features the voice talents of many of the cast from the movie (minus Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges) reprising their roles. Although this isn’t enough to save the game from being average, it’s always nice to hear "proper" voice work.
Frustrating controls, fairly shoddy graphics, and some very repetitive gameplay have seen this labelled as the worst title of 2008 by some – it’s maybe not that bad, it is still something only fans will enjoy.
To get the Wii release for £4.99 from HMV, click here. Meanwhile, DS owners can click here to buy their version for £7.99 from Gameplay.
Over at ShopTo you can get the PSP release (click here) for £9.99, or the PlayStation 2 version (click here) for £12.72. Finally, PS3 gamers can click here to order their release for the princely sum of £12.79 from Simply Games.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 retains many of the key features from previous entries that helped make it the best golf series on the market, whilst introducing some new elements which improve on some of the weaker points.
Hank Haney, who is Tiger Woods’ real-life performance coach, is on hand to offer tips, advice, and challenges to improve your game, the "Club Tuner" option maximises the effectiveness of every shot, and "Dynamic Skill" adjusts the skill level as your progress through the career mode.
If you fancy the PS2 version, click here to buy it for £7.89 from Sendit.com. XBox 360 owners can still get their release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 for £17.99 from Play.com.
