The Bourne series of films (and books, for that matter) seem like the ideal candidate for being turned into a video game, so it’s no real surprise to see the arrival of The Bourne Conspiracy on the next-generation consoles.
You begin, like in The Bourne Identity movie, as an amnesiac found off the coast of Marseilles, but as you progress more clues as to who Jason Bourne really is are revealed. It’s a shame that there’s no kind of online mode – however, the story doesn’t lend itself too much to a multiplayer element.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is the tale of two men bound together as they wait on death row for their final sentence, who are forced to embark on a violent and chaotic journey – even though they cannot stand the sight of each other.
Although the storyline is decent and the action is very satisfying, it’s badly let down by being incredibly short and having somewhat shonky visuals. A sequel is on the way though, so these problems will hopefully be addressed.

Race Driver: Grid pretty much came out of nowhere to impress every man and his dog with some amazing graphics and providing a fantastically fun racing experience. All the other racers on the market have some stiff competition from this game, and I have no doubts a sequel will come along and blow everyone away yet again.
43 cars can be taken through several different modes either alone or with a friend, across tracks from different countries around the world in the home console versions. The DS release, meanwhile, has 25 cars to race around 20 tracks, and also features an exclusive Track Designer which allows you to create your own circuits and billboards.

Although Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway is as realistic and graphic in its portrayal of the horrors of World War II as other entries in the series, it’s a shame that the developers have moved away from the multiplayer format of the previous titles. Perhaps the success of Call Of Duty has them scared – you never know!
Once again you take on the role of Staff Sergeant Matt Baker during Operation Market Garden towards the end of the conflict, as you lead the 101st Airborne Division in a daring bid to end the war early.

Even though there are those that argue many sports titles, primarily the ones released by Electronic Arts, are the same every season, they aren’t – for one thing, rosters are always updated. You can always guarantee at least a few new features as well, which help improve them year-on-year.
Madden NFL 09 includes an Adaptive Difficulty Engine that tailors the game to your playing style, a Virtual Training Centre which allows you to fine-tune your plays, online leagues, enhanced graphics, and a whole lot more. This is the only American football game you’ll ever need…until Madden NFL 10, that is!

There’s something of a Choices UK PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 clearance running at the moment, with some genuinely excellent games included – this isn’t hyperbole, for once, as there’s at least a couple of "must have" titles in this.
These almost certainly won’t last long either, and please remember to add on £1.99 postage (unless you spend £25 or more, in which case it’s free).

The eleventh installment in the long-running Medal Of Honor series, Medal Of Honor: Airborne, is the very first one to focus on the activities of paratroopers during the Second World War.
Not only does it include a comprehensive and in-depth single play campaign, but an only multiplayer mode too. In it you have the choice of fighting for the Allies and parachuting down to the battlefield, or fighting for the Axis and defending the position from enemy paratroopers.

While the Grand Theft Auto series has strived for realism, Saints Row 2 goes completely the opposite way. If you enjoy blowing stuff up and just generally having a fair amount of mindless fun, it will quickly become a firm favourite in your collection.
One of the strongest features of the game is the amount of customisation you can do. The character you control can be changed in fine detail (right down to any tattoos or underwear that takes your fancy), as too can your "crib" – which means upgradeable televisions, pool tables, and minibars.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence in regards to trying out a Guitar Hero game for the first time, then this offer presents a very good opportunity to get in on the action at a very reasonable price.
Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock features a total of 73 different songs for you to play along to, from artists like Pearl Jam and Metallica. Both the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 versions have additional tracks to download, which help bring the complete total to 132 (a very hefty number indeed).

After countless releases on the PS2 and PSP, it was inevitable that the SOCOM series would appear on the PlayStation 3 at some point – and so it has, with SOCOM: Confrontation.
When it was released, many reviewers were annoyed by technical issues and missing features. The good news is that these have been addressed by a number of updates, which make for an all-round better gaming experience.
