The Sony PSP Go (White) is the latest incarnation of the handheld system, and has 16GB of flash memory and is considerably smaller than other models – the UMD drive has gone though, so you might want to hang on to your old PSP as well as getting this one.

Because of the removal of the UMD drive, the only way that you'll be able to get games is from the PlayStation Store – while this is slightly irritating, I see this as the future of attempts to combat piracy (whether it will work well or not remains to be seen though).

Sony PSP Go (White) £189.99

Although the similarities with Pokemon are obvious (both have you capturing and raising different species of creatures in order to battle others), Invizimals requires you to hunt and capture creatures within the real world utilising the concept of augmented reality.

You'll need the PSP Go!Cam camera in order to play this, but thankfully there's a bundle available that includes this with a physical trap device which is used as a fiduciary marker.

Rock Band: Unplugged is a PSP expansion of the series of music video games available on other consoles. Although this obviously won't allow the same kind of thrill that you get from playing plastic instruments, it's still a very enjoyable experience.

41 tracks are included with the game, all of which are master recordings, and further songs can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store via the PS3 or on a PC. Sadly there is no cross-compatibility between this and other games in the Rock Band family.

Rock Band: Unplugged £7.99

Although it's undoubtedly been the king of the off-road gaming scene, the MX vs. ATV series hasn't quite managed to break through the barrier to appeal to a bigger audience – the latest offering, MX vs. ATV Reflex, could very well be the first to do this though…

Racing motocross and supercross on motocross bikes or ATVs in a wide range of different events have always been a core staple of the franchise, but a brand-new control scheme and physics engine (along with real-time terrain deformation) make this well worth taking a look at.

MX vs. ATV Reflex From £14.73

Using many of the features from Soul Calibur IV, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny also introduces two new characters into the mix – Dampierre and some chap called Kratos who's been known to appear in some God of War games (no, never head of them either).

26 other characters are also available to choose from, plus a further 16 can be created (in a cut down version of the same mode from Soul Calibur IV). Five game modes are included to fight in, with multiplayer an option as well, although sadly without online play.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny £4.99

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 is a first-person shooter set in World War II, starting on the Normandy beaches trying to control German bunkers and then moving on to secure a village somewhere in France.

As well as a gripping and engaging single-player campaign, there's also an online multiplayer mode to take advantage of too. Supporting up to 32 gamers at once, you can take part in three different match types – Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Infiltration.

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 From £8.99

After the massive success of Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, it was inevitable that a sequel would make an appearance at some point – which means the arrival of Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

Not only can now play through areas from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but the first three original (and much better!) movies too. The gameplay is much the same as before, so nothing too challenging – which means younger gamers can join in the fun too.

This is the basic back story to Tom Clancy's EndWar, which is a real-time strategy game that allows you to play as either side (or as Russia, who have become the world's number one supplier of natural gas and crude oil). Tom Clancy’s EndWar From £4.99

Tekken 6 is the latest installment in the long-running fighting series, and the first to appear outside of the PlayStation brand – although it's still staying somewhat faithful to the brand by being on the PSP and PS3 (how nice of the developers!).

More characters than ever appear in this, with a total of 42 – of which 31 have previously been seen before. Online multiplayer has also been included for the first time in Tekken history, which helps to make this one of the best fighting games available at the moment.

Tekken 6 From £17.73

Based on the recent Pixar film of the same name, Up follows the storyline of the movie and features all of the main characters in playable roles – meaning that kids, who are really the target market for this game, will enjoy it a great deal more than older gamers…probably.

Two players can go through the campaigns together, which might extend the gameplay value somewhat, but there isn't a lot more to say than that. If you've played one game based on a Pixar film, they are all pretty similar style-wise (not that there's anything wrong with that).
