Killzone: Liberation £4.99

With Killzone 2 coming up soon for the PlayStation 3, PSP owners may wish to take a look at Killzone: Liberation (especially at this ridiculously low price). It’s exclusively on the handheld system as well, which is nice.

Following the end of the very first Killzone, the battle against the Helghast is still raging on. Metrac (the Helghast General) is employing brutal measures in order to seize the initiative – returning as Templar, it’s your job to save hostages captured by the maniac… whilst ISA troops continue the fight for liberty.

Wrestling games have always been quite good for a laugh, as they don’t try and take themselves as seriously as other fighting games do. WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 is the latest in the WWE series of video games, and it’s probably the best one yet.

With an updated roster (which is always out-of-date by the time the game is released) and some new additional ECW stuff, this is great for all wrestling fans out there. Shame there’s no online multiplayer mode though.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII £17.92

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, which is a PSP exclusive, delves deeper into the story behind arguably one of the greatest games of all time – Final Fantasy VII.

If you’re a glutton for punishment, there’s an all-new "Hard Mode" which wasn’t available on the Japanese version. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I’ll say good…

The Need For Speed series has been incredibly up and down over the years – it started off well, seemed to be stuck in limbo for a time, and has just recently appeared to be on its way back up again. Very odd.

Need For Speed: Prostreet is the latest title, and is very probably the best in quite some time. Although still far from being as good as other racers available, it’s still good to burn rubber all around the world – although there’s no online multiplayer mode, which is a shame.

Wall-E £17.83

The big summer film is probably going to be Wall-E (actually, it might be The Dark Knight – but kids will be more interested in Wall-E). I’m always wary when a game based on a movie appears, so here’s hoping this is at least bearable.

All the characters from the film are present and correct, as is the voice talent. As well as reliving key moments from the movie, in the game you’ll also enjoy new storylines and explore massive environments that you won’t see in the cinema.

To get the DS version click here, for the PS2 release click here, and for the PSP version click here – all are £17.83 each at Asda.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas £11.99

Tom Clancy has been responsible for some of the greatest stories of modern times – Patriot Games and Clear And Present Danger spring to mind as good example. He’s also brought us some decent video game franchises as well, such as the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six series’.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas sees the team having only one night to return order to Las Vegas before international terrorist Irena Morales acheives her ultimate objective. What they discover will not only change Rainbow itself, but could also tip the balance of power firmly in favour of the terrorists.

In order to get the PSP version of this game for £11.99 from Play.com, all you have to do is click right here.

PlayStation 3 owners may like to know that their release of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas is still available for £17.99.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII £17.99

Final Fantasy VII is often regarded as the best of the series, and for good reason as well. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, which is a PSP exclusive, takes us on an exciting journey through the origin of the saga and completes the experience of a fantastic game.

This also has a new "hard" more which wasn’t found on the Japanese release. Lucky us.

The PSP seems to be getting turned into a multi-purpose machine, instead of just a games console – you’ll soon even be able to turn it into a GPS receiver!

Passport To Prague is another unique title available for the system, and does exactly what you’d think it does. It provides a virtual guide to the city, highlighting some of the best things for you to see and do.

Asda are selling this for just £3.93 – click here for more details.

I can’t stand companies who rush shoddy games out so that they can get them on the shelves in time for big film releases. The stupid thing is that people buy them – why? 9 times out of 10 it will be a complete joke (look at The Golden Compass, for example)!

This brings me nicely to Iron Man. The film is not too bad, but the game is a big pile of crap! With graphics that would make early PlayStation 2 games look advanced, it’s really a big mess. Only fans and mentalists should even consider a purchase.

King Of Clubs From £10.98

There’s not many crazy golf games around, which is a little odd when you consider the amount of straight golf titles available on various consoles. King Of Clubs fills this void in quite a good way.

With 10 courses, which each have their own resident pro, this should be a good laugh if you get some friends round to take part in the multiplayer mode.

To get the PSP version for £10.98 delivered from Gamestation, click here – for the PlayStation 2 release (which is slightly more expensive at £12 from Simply Games), click here.

If you’re a Wii owner, you might be interested to know that King Of Clubs is £17.99 for it.
