Cheap Games

Crash: Tag Team Racing From £8.99

Crash: Tag Team Racing is very similar to the Mario Kart games, except instead of Mario characters you have Crash characters instead (obviously). One of those cheap games that’s good fun it is as well.

Interestingly, you can fuse two cars together on the fly by crashing into another player – this turns your vehicle into a super vehicle equipped with a massive gun!

Click here to pick up the XBox (yes, the original XBox!) version for £8.99 or click here for the PSP release, which is £9.99 – both from SoftUK.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 From £11.99

FlatOut: Head On £12.99

FlatOut: Head On drops the hammer on the PSP extreme racing genre. From rock-smashing run-ins in desiccated desert landscapes to down and dirty races through rubbish-strewn city streets, FlatOut’s PSP debut is yet another gritty outing into racing carnage. The FlatOut physics engine delivers degrees of extreme racing that have yet to be seen on the PSP; get ready for head on destruction that could literally leave you, the track and your car in pieces.

The more carnage you produce the more points you score, but the additional problems you will face. All the same, utilising this to your advantage will get you even more bonus points by busting up other vehicles throughout the races. With wireless multiplayer party gaming modes ranging from wheel-to-wheel challenges, demolition derbies and Ragdoll stunts, the only reason you’ll stop is if you’ve no wheels left.

Fading Shadows £14.96

The time of prophecy has arrived. Evil is afoot and the wicked Master Gardal has designs to capture the famous Castle of Heaven: the supreme fortress constructed to protect the world from forces of darkness. The sole way for Gardal to breach the gates is by sacrificing the pure soul of Erwyn, a young boy cited in a millennia-old prophecy. Gardal and his minions have already caught the boy and imprisoned him to await execution. However Gardal didn’t forecast the assistance of Aira, Erwyn’s clairvoyant sister. To save her brother, Aira has sealed Erwyn’s soul inside an individual teardrop and changed the teardrop into a protective orb. Now, in order to free her brother she must safely lead the orb into the Castle of Heaven using a magical beam of light. Regrettably, sending the beam of light has used all of her strength and she can’t control it any longer… will you help her?

Take control of the beam of light to guide the orb through a challenging world of danger and adventure. It will not be simple, as Gardal’s minions Quiph and Morg will endeavour to block you at all costs. Avoid the traps set by Quiph while solving puzzles and riddles contrived to slow you down. Pass through swamps, journey over mountains, and visit castles and abandoned cities. Overcome the obstacles in your way, and change the orb’s form into wood to conquer water, or even metal when hardness is required. Do whatever it takes to save Erwyn and bring him back to the Castle of Heaven!

FIFA 08 is the first time for ages that E.A. have got a football game near-enough dead on.

This is as good as Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (which is great itself), and is well worth getting.

Asda are selling this game for a decent price on pretty much every console – click here to get the DS version, click here to buy the PlayStation 2 one or click here to buy the PSP release (each are £12.93). The other console versions are £17.93 (click here for the PlayStation 3, click here for the Wii and click here for the XBox 360).

Quite unsual that a retailer would have a cheap game on every system, but who’s complaining?!?
