Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter - Game Of The Year Edition £17

The year is 2013. The U.S. Army has been preparing - and can now deploy - the Integrated Warfighter System (IWS), a complex combination of forefront technologies that transforms an individual soldier into the ultimate fighting force. IWS mixes advanced weapons systems, satellite communication devices and increased survivability into one fully integrated combat system that’s at long last primed for the true test of the battlefield. Combining the advantages of next-generation console technology with future military technologies, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter includes a wealth of innovative features, including the Cross-Com, a communication device attached to the soldier’s monocle and powered by satellite technology, which will deliver perpetual and complete battlefield awareness seamlessly within the action. Additionally, Ubisoft have used increased processing power to its fullest, with exciting graphics, lighting and textures, multi-windowing, and state-of-the-art physics.

In Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, players embody Captain Scott Mitchell as he commands the Ghosts and Special Forces allies armed with the IWS in the quest to save the president of the United States, retrieve stolen nuclear codes and eradicate a brutal band of renegade soldiers hell-bent on unleashing catastrophe. The game unfolds solely in Mexico City, where numerous, meticulously researched and detailed environments deliver complete immersion into the future of urban warfare. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter also includes multiplayer and cooperative gameplay with electrifying new elements, carrying on the Ghost Recon custom of setting the bar for multiplayer action.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter - Game Of The Year Edition contains some extra stuff not found in the original release - this includes 4 new coop missions, 2 new game types, 2 new camouflage patterns, 4 new character faces and 5 new weapons.

Jumper From £11.99

I wonder if there will ever be a really decent game based on a film (I’m discounting The Godfather as it came out ages after the film did!)?

Jumper is another mediocre attempt at bridging the divide between the two mediums - to put it mildly, it stinks.

Click here to get the PlayStation 2 version for £11.99, click here for the Wii release (which is £14.99) or click here for the XBox 360 one which is £16.99 - all are from HMV, who clearly want to get rid of it (and who can blame them).

It’s quite reminiscent of Mario Tennis, but I’m not for one second insinuating that Sega copied Nintendo.
