Even though it seems like ages since Fable was released, it was only four years ago - how time flies! Fable II is the long-awaited sequel, and includes an online co-op mode for the very first time (available as a free download from XBox Live).

Set 500 years after the events of the first game, you play as either a male or female character living in the fictional world of Albion. Guns are still primitive, and large castles and cities have developed where towns once stood.

Sega Superstars Tennis £9.99

If the idea of a round of tennis against some of the most well known Sega characters of all time sounds like your cup of tea, then Sega Superstars Tennis is the game for you.

Along with the standard single player campaign and multiplayer options, there are a raft of mini-games on offer. Where this differs from others is that most of these are very enjoyable - battering zombies or indulging in some Virtua Cop action with tennis balls is some of the most fun you can have with your pants on.

Originally the XBox 360 Premium came with a 20GB hard drive, but Microsoft were feeling a bit funky and decided to turn the middle tier system into the XBox 360 60GB Premium (which means you get three times the amount of space than you got before).

With excellent titles being released on an almost weekly basis, it’s well worth getting hold of one. Thankfully these newer models have fewer problems than the older ones too, which is nice.

Instore at Asda you can pick up an XBox 360 60GB Premium, with two games, for £167. These aren’t just any old titles, mind you, but the new and excellent Fable II and PES 2009: Pro Evolution Soccer.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 £9.99

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 takes place in 2014, just one day after the events of the previous GRAW game. South of the American border there’s a conflict between Mexican rebels, Mexican loyalists, and the US Army - but there’s only 72 hours in which to stop the rebels from entering US soil.

The game modes are identical to those found in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, although in the online mutiplayer mode players can be critically injured (and healed) instead of just outright killed.

Burnout Paradise £17.99

If loading screens, online lobbies, and game menus are annoying to you and you enjoy racing games, then I have a feeling you’ll love Burnout Paradise - it gets rid of all the guff and gets down to business the second you put in the disc.

To start a race or event, all you have to do is pull up at a set of traffic lights which are dotted around Paradise City. There’s also the option to race on motorcycles, which you can get by downloading an update from XBox Live.

If you fancy this XBox 360 game, click here to get it for £17.99 from Zavvi.

Project Gotham Racing 4 £9.99

Out of the many driving series’ around, Project Gotham Racing is definitely one of the best. With some exciting new features, this is quite possibly the best one yet.

The biggest new feature is the weather effects that affect the look of the game and the physics of the vehicles on the track. Five new cities appear, and for the first time ever you can now race on motorcycles as well as cars.

Kung Fu Panda £9.99

Kung Fu Panda is based on the film of the same name, and is aimed squarely at children. Progressing through the game unlocks more characters for you to control and use in the multiplayer modes.

As with many titles that have been released recently, this comes with a fair amount of mini-games to take part in. Even more characters can be unlocked when taking part in these as well.

Clive Barker’s Jericho From £7.97

Clive Barker is well known for his horror novels and films, so the next obvious thing for him to do would be to write the story for a video game - with the result being Clive Barker’s Jericho.

A lost city has mysteriously reappeared in a remote desert, and has brought with it an evil that goes right back to the dawn of time. You control a Special Forces squad, trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, who must hunt down and destroy it before it can destroy humanity.

Click here to get the XBox 360 release for £7.97, or click here to get the PlayStation 3 version for £13.56 - both are supplied by the good folks at Amazon.

With the massive hype before it’s release there was a danger that Grand Theft Auto IV could have been a huge letdown. Thankfully, it’s turned out to be the best in the series and quite possibly the best game of 2008.

It’s set in a redesigned version of the fictional Liberty City, which strongly resembles modern day New York City. You play as Niko Bellic, a war veteran from Eastern Europe, who comes in search of the American Dream but quickly becomes entangled in a seedy underworld of gangs, crime, and corruption.

Click here to get the PS3 version, or click here for the XBox 360 release - both of which are £19.99 each at Play.com. There is a slight difference between these two cheap games, in that the 360 version has downloadable content coming soon (although it wouldn’t surprise me to see it appear on the PS3 at a later date).

The XBox 360 Elite console is considered the top-end of the market, as it is the one with the most amount of hard drive space - it’s also the most expensive of the three systems, but you’re paying for a genuinely top quality item.

It differs from the others by coming in a black finish, and also has a massive 120GB hard drive which should provide you with more than enough space for downloads and game saves.

There’s a couple of XBox 360 Elite bundles available for £249.99 at Play.com. Click here to buy the one with copies of Fable II and Fallout 3, or click here for the other one which has copies of Fable II and FIFA 09.
