The Golden Compass is an action-adventure game based on the film of the same name. It’s really not very good at all, but the very fact that it was in the top ten selling list of 2007 means that people obviously like it…for some reason.

Interestingly, the game sticks much closer to the story told in the book than the movie does - the sequences in Bolvangar and Svalbard are in the correct order, and some of the ending (not present in the film) is shown.
