Guitar Hero: Metallica is the second game in the Guitar Hero series to focus on the career and songs of one group following Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. As it's based on Guitar Hero: World Tour, both the individual guitar and full band kits are supported – which means you can take on the role of your favourite band member.

28 Metallica songs are featured along with 21 from other groups that are personal favourites and influences from over the years, including those that appeared on their Garage Inc. album. Please note that other downloadable content is unusable, although the "Death Magnetic" pack will work.
