For some time now, any games based on The Simpsons have either been very good (The Simpsons: The Arcade Game) or absolutely awful (The Simpsons Wrestling). The Simpsons Game falls somewhere in between the two, as it’s too short and has a crap camera - although it does look excellent, and the writing is very similar to that of the show itself.

Most versions are third-person actioners, where the family discover that they are forced to take part in another Simpsons game and poke fun at other video games. However, the DS release has some differences - it’s a sidescrolling platformer, there are less cutscenes, and some of the character’s powers have been removed.
