Wolverhampton pub adopts crash-survivor dog Rex, now the bar’s unlikely security guard

A two-year-old Shih Tzu named Rex ran into The Leaping Wolf in Wolverhampton during a busy Liverpool match. Hours later, staff learned his owner had died in a car crash. Pub manager Dan Morris adopted Rex on the spot. The small dog now lives at the pub, greeting regulars and quietly keeping watch — the bar’s unlikely security guard and much-loved mascot.
