Once again, the 2012 games list has revealed another in the Just Dance franchise, which is becoming one of the most successful gaming series ever released. By far the most popular format for Just dance is the Wii, and this year the interest in the game is heightened with the launch of the new Wii console, the Nintendo Wii-U. There is a separate version for this containing extra features such as using your gamepad to take pictures, write messages and other additional functionality.

The massive success of previous versions should be enough to ensure automatic success for the 2012 version, however with 40 new songs and more improvements than ever, Just dance 4 should continue to be the most popular dance game on the market.

Just Dance 4 (Special Edition) Description

Just Dance 4 was released in the UK on 2 October 2012 and although the Wii is the best selling platform it is also available on the XBox, PS3 and at the end of November will be launched on the Wii-U to coincide with the new Nintendo Wii-U console coming out.

This years rendition is classified as a Special Edition, which basically means it includes a bonus song not on the original playlist. There are 40 new songs including old classics such as Rick Astley with 'Never gonna give you up' as well as more modern songs such as 'Moves Like Jagger'. New improvements and features also included in the game are for example, Battle Mode where you can challenge your family and friends in a head to head to see who gets awarded as the champion. Also the popular sweat it out makes the focus on the workout, and even has personalised programs and a colorie counter!. Dance Quest gives you an extra challenge as you have to find hidden tasks which unlocks rewards and additional features.

Everything you ever enjoyed about Just dance is still available, but with all the extra improvements and features, including even more additions with the brand new Wii-U version, this game will be top of the games to play when the party season arrives at Christmas and the New Year.

Ubisoft have announced that the most watched video of 2012, Gangnam Style by South Korean rapper PSY, will be the first song available to download as Downloadable Content for the game. It is expected to be available in November.
