Full Description and Features
The latest game from Level-5 for the Nintendo DS is Professor Layton and the Spector's Call and is the 4th game in the series. It is a prequel to the first three games and it is where Luke Triton was met by Professor Layton. There are more than 170 puzzles in this adventure video game, which includes role-playing games and boasts 100 hours of content.
Moving around the village of Misthallery in Little London, the three protagonists search through levels looking to solve mysteries and progress through the story. Using the touch screen capability, the player can tap the shoe icon which will hint at where coins are, reveal dialogue, show hidden puzzles and collectable items. By talking to non-player characters reveals a new puzzle that needs to be completed in order to move on through the game. There are peg solitaire games, logic puzzles, sliding puzzles and brain teasers which are the perfect way to while away several hours trying to work them out.
Once the puzzles are completed, the player receives an item or coin to use in mini-games afterwards and in bonus rounds. The hints and puzzles can be downloaded using the Wi-Fi connection. The story of Professor Layton and the Spector's Call is to stop the monster that lives in Misthallery from destroying the homes and villages nearby during the night. There are gondolas in the river that pass through the town and this leads to nearby regions of East District, Market, Crossroads, Highyard Hill and Ely Street.

Managed to get hold of a test copy, should be the same as the game when it\'s released. Whilst the graphics are simple, the touch-screen of the DS and the easy to understand storyline, as well as the tricky puzzles makes Professor Layton and the Spector\'s Call a very fun and intriguing game to play. Using a higher level of attention to detail and a good selection of music to set the scene when the monster or witch are nearby, the game is all-absorbing and is very addictive.
